At risk youth is a
term to describe teens and other youths and the risks and issues
they struggle with in their development to adulthood.
Some of the risks, the aforementioned youth face, include crime,
sex, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, gangs, anger management and
self-esteem issues. Educating at risk youth to improve their
life skills and social skills is an age-old practice.
Historically we have always passed ethical behavior and
acceptable social skills to the next generation through social
skills. Today, however, disadvantaged youth are dropping out of
school and not receiving the essential life and social skills |
